Videotellurium is a mechanical device that illuminates the relative positions and motions of the Videoplanets. It is driven by a large clockwork mechanism. Orbiting video projectors suggest satellites and project video images onto the planets. Every Videoplanet at the end of an arm circles the 'sun' at the center point of the sculpture at different speeds and in different direction.

Loher's mostly paradisiacal planets are populated with phantasms and magical creatures that dance, create precisely choreographed, often kaleidoscopic formations and perform indefinable acts. In certain sequences, the creatures become apocalyptic workers orchestrate tasks that formerly occurred naturally and without interference.
The video projected onto the central globe of the Videotellurium depicts people who form a mechanical clockwork, who like the planets, are trapped in an orbit around a "clock."
